Battery Technician/Delivery Driver (Acacia Ridge)

Battery Central is seeking an experienced Part Time Retail Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team. If you are a likeminded person with knowledge and experience in the automotive industry then this is the job for you. Please keep in mind that a major part of this position involves heavy lifting and installing batteries into large and small motor vehicles. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and some Saturdays 8am to 1pm. These hours can be modified to suit the applicant. This position is diverse and will require a multi-skilled applicant who can switch between providing expert advice to customers one minute and fitting a variety of batteries the next. On the job training will be provided, our current team is very knowledgeable and will be available for assistance during the onboarding process. You will be required to:
- Work constructively with other team members in a respectful manner
- Providing an exceptional customer experience
- Carry out In-store and roadside battery fitting throughout the day (once trained)
- Have physical ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy automotive batteries (up to 30 Kg) on a regular basis
- Handle customer inquiries in person and over the phone
- Assisting in organising online orders for shipping. Booking in couriers etc.
- Participate in storefront housekeeping duties To be a successful candidate for this role you will have the following attributes:
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Experience in retail and/or the automotive industry is preferred, but not necessary
- Computer literacy and legible handwriting
- Friendly approachable personality and positive attitude
- Demonstrate Initiative and independence to work unsupervised
- Good manners and personal presentation
- Great problem solving, communication and time management skills
