Quality Assurance Officer - Food Manufacturing (Acacia Ridge)

**About The Role**: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Quality Assurance Officer, to join the Priestley’s family. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all our delicious products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the overall production process. This role requires hands on involvement in promoting a culture of quality, active coaching on the production floor, and maintaining audit readiness approach ensuring our products meet customers’ expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide detailed reports on all quality aspects to the QA Manager.
- Develop clear quality objectives and standards that meet regulatory requirements and align with company goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of QMS enhancements.
- Conduct internal audits, identify improvement areas, and provide constructive feedback to operators.
- Create engaging training content, including toolbox talks and Good Manufacturing/Hygiene Practices (GMP/GHP).
- Analyse data to identify trends and generate actionable insights for quality improvements.
- Provide practical, on-the-floor training for production staff, demonstrating correct techniques to uphold product quality.
- Perform essential quality checks, including environmental swabbing, scheduling product testing, calibrations, and record verification.
- Develop and maintain detailed procedures for each production stage, ensuring documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and highlights any identified gaps.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure continuous compliance with quality standards. Use real-time data tools to monitor processes and quickly address issues.
- Leverage audit and inspection data to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing product quality and production efficiency.
- Actively contribute towards achieving the business’s key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, efficiency, and compliance.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science, or related field (Desired).
- A strong understanding of quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
- Knowledge and interpretation of regulatory standards, including HACCP, FSSC22000 and Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, be collaborative and meet deadlines.
- Passionate about the food industry, with an ability to connect to the consumer.
- Ability to pass a National Police Check.

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
