Lee Brothers is an Australian owned company that has been in the safety workwear and PPE industry for the past 20 years. We provide Tuffwear workwear, footwear and PPE to a number of large national customers. We currently have operations in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
We are seeking a full-time picker/packer at our Acacia Ridge warehouse in Brisbane for up to 38 hours per week. This role will be ongoing and we are seeking someone who wants to be part of the Tuffwear team long term.
This is no ordinary role! Your day will be split between the computer and picking/packing/dispatching orders on a daily basis.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Picking, packing and dispatch of customer workwear orders (freight management) from paper-based customer orders (we do not pick from RF scanners)
- Dispatching work orders for customer embroidery
- Checking of all incoming supplier purchase orders
- Checking of all incoming inter-warehouse transfers
- Label and put away all incoming stock
- General warehouse duties as required
- General housekeeping duties of the warehouse and other work areas
This role requires the use of an order picker machine, so you must be ok with heights.
This role also requires the use of a forklift on occasion, and usage is extremely limited. If you are looking for a forklift role, this is not for you. You must also have a current forklift license or be willing to obtain one within a short amount of time upon commencement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Positive computer skills are required as 50% or more of your time is computer based
- Previous warehouse experience in the safety/PPE industry highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking, packing & dispatch
- Current or planned forklift license
- Be physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Good track record of job reliability
