Workshop Boilermaker Archerfield

About the role

As a Workshop Boilermaker at Australian Steel Projects Pty Ltd, you will be a key member of our skilled trade team, responsible for fabricating, assembling and repairing heavy steel structures, vessels and equipment. This is a full-time position based in our workshop in Archerfield, Queensland.

What you'll be doing Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate, assemble and repair boilers, pressure vessels, pipework and other heavy steel structures Operating specialised welding equipment to produce high-quality welds to industry standards Performing layout, fitting, cutting and forming of steel components Conducting quality inspections and testing on completed work Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment Assisting with the maintenance and calibration of workshop tools and equipment Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification

What we're looking for Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Welder Minimum 5 years' experience as a Boilermaker or Welder in a workshop environment Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Extensive knowledge of welding techniques and procedures, including MIG, TIG and stick welding Proficient in the use of workshop tools and equipment such as lathes, guillotines and press brakes Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team setting
