Procurement Officer (Acacia Ridge)

About the Role We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our very busy but very crucial team at EGR. Your role will be to manage purchase orders, coordinate with our suppliers and ensure compliance with service level agreements. You will work closely with all teams across EGR to enable seamless procurement to meet requirements across the organisation. Your daily role will meet organisational needs through: Purchase Order Management
- The Generation of PO’s
- Confirming pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments.
- Expedite or de-expedite orders to meet operational needs.
- Negotiate on price, lead time, MOQ, order multiples, stock turns etc.

Supplier Management: You will manage supplier relationships by overseeing both existing and new suppliers to deliver strong commercial outcomes. This role focuses on driving supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and reliability, resolving issues quickly, and delivering continuous improvement. You will work closely with logistics partners to coordinate shipping and clearance, ensuring seamless operations and on‑time delivery. Your success will be measure through:
- PO cycle time (Requisition → PO issued)
- Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Acknowledgement rate and confirmation lead time
- Price compliance About you:
- You have at least 3 years in procurement or purchasing.
- You are proficient with ERP systems, enabling you to navigate the complexity of a somewhat out of date software package in combination with excel.
- You have a good understanding and knowledge of PO creation, supplier data and MRP triggers.
- You have a thorough knowledge of sourcing principles, lead time and basic incoterms.
- You have an understanding of international and domestic freight and logistics.
- You have demonstrated experience dealing with suppliers across the globe.
- You would describe your communication as excellent both verbal and written and can use this skill to expedite and negotiate to reach objectives.
- It would be desirable for you to have CIPS Level 3 or 4, ACIPS/ ASCM or an alternative.
- You will have a high level of commercial and financial acumen and the ability to make informed decision based on the needs of the whole business, key priorities and all of the relevant stakeholders.
- You are able to work at varied paces, in line with business requirements. With the ability to deliver in tight time frames and constraints.
- You will be resourceful, and solutions focused to all constraints, obstacles and issues, always with the end result in mind.
