Our client, The Trustee for EPG TRUST , is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Painter to join our growing team. Job Title Painter Job Responsibilities Responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes to protect, maintain, and enhance the appearance of buildings and structures. Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Examining and preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching holes, removing old paint, and cleaning surfaces.
- Applying undercoats, primers, sealers, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Mixing paints and matching colours to customer specifications and project requirements.
- Applying decorative and protective finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Hanging wallpaper, vinyl wall coverings, and decorative materials where required.
- Erecting and dismantling ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely.
- Calculating material requirements and estimating quantities of paint and related products.
- Maintaining painting tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards and client specifications are met.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
- Assisting with project planning and ensuring jobs are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and complying with all relevant regulations. Qualification Requirements
· AQF Diploma or Higher
· 1-3 years of experience in related field Salary
- $75,000 – $90,000 per annum + Superannuation
