Workshop Service Advisor Gove Location: Gove, NT Employment Type: Full-Time Darky’s Mechanical Services (DMS) is chasing a sharp, switched-on Service Advisor to join our growing team. You’ll be based in Gove, supporting our Gove workshop by managing all quoting, parts procurement, job admin and invoicing. This is a high-accuracy role that keeps the whole business moving – no half-done paperwork, no mucking around. What You'll Do
- Creating jobs and managing workflow in MechanicDesk
- Communicating with customers on job progress, approvals and updates
- Building quotes (labour + parts) from workshop diagnostic notes
- Ordering all parts, tracking deliveries and allocating parts to jobs
- Uploading job documentation, notes and photos
- Invoicing jobs cleanly and accurately
- Keeping MD tidy with correct tags and statuses
- Check in vehicles when they are dropped off for repairs
- Parts & Freight Coordination
- Unpack freight when it gets to Gove and allocate Job statuses.
- Troubleshoot transport or supply issues quickly to minimise downtime.
- Team & Customer Support
- Act as support to the Service Supervisor, ensuring they have accurate info and paperwork.
- Be a helpful contact for customers regarding job queries
- Maintain organised systems for parts, freight, and service documentation. What We're Looking For
- What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Service Advisor or similar role
- Excellent phone manner and written communication
- High attention to detail – accuracy is everything
- Solid computer skills (MD or similar systems an advantage)
- Knowledge of parts/mechanics (or willingness to learn).
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Current NT driver's licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to accuracy
