Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Avionics Tindal

Responsibilities Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionic systems and components across both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data, compliant with regulatory and organisational standards. Accurately document maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes. Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed. Report and escape any defects, non-conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures. Perform maintenance tasks within your delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, i.e., Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory). Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory). Experience or a solid interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deliver work within a rapid-paced team workplace.

Location

These positions are based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Relocation support is available for candidates living outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland region.

Clearance Requirements

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
