Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented support the F-35 Australian RAAF base, Tindal. Your responsibilities will include: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Senior Strategic Mission Planner to support F-35 operations under the authority of the Chief Mission Support. This role is critical to the delivery of mission planning capability, ensuring operational readiness through the development, coordination, and support of mission planning activities and systems. Key responsibilities include: Manage mission planning activities and mission planning-related tasks as required. Deliver mission support settings in accordance with defined operational standards. Attend and actively participate in mission briefings and debriefings. Use source data, sensor programming, and weapon profiles to translate mission requirements into effective electronic mission plans. Support and promote the development of standardised end-to-end mission plans. Provide technical guidance to support software operations relating to mission planning systems. Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and procedures. Gather, summarise, maintain, and report mission support information accurately. Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives across mission planning and operational support functions. About you: You are a disciplined and analytical professional with strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a high-security, mission-focused environment. You thrive in collaborative teams and can manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative and fast-paced defence environment, contributing to mission effectiveness through technical expertise, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Experience Skills Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or equivalent relevant industry experience. Experience within the defence industry or a related operational environment. Strong problem-solving and technical analysis skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Ability to work within structured operational and security frameworks. Desirable Experience supporting mission planning systems or military aviation operations. Relevant certifications or professional memberships. Knowledge of F-35 mission systems and operational support environments. Experience developing technical training or support documentation. Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
