Helping Young Minds Grow – Student Tutor Kindy–Year 5/6, Adelaide

Hi! I’m a Year 8 student offering friendly, relaxed tutoring for younger kids who might be a bit behind, need help keeping up, or just want some extra practice and confidence.

Because sessions are one-on-one, I can give children the extra attention teachers often can’t in a busy classroom. We can slow things down, revisit tricky topics, and make sure learning actually sticks instead of being rushed.

I mainly help with maths, but I may also be able to help with other subjects at a basic level (not too deeply). Parents are welcome to provide work they want me to help with, or you can tell me your child’s goals and I can choose activities that best support them.

I use a calm, child-friendly approach and try to make learning fun, supportive, and pressure-free. Some kids feel more comfortable learning with another student rather than an adult, so I focus on building confidence and making learning feel more approachable. Less pressure, more progress

Sessions are held at the Tea Tree Gully Library, a quiet and safe place where learning can really turn a new page
For everyone’s comfort and safety, I ask that a parent or guardian stays during the session.

I mainly tutor Kindy to Year 3, and I can also help Years 4–5. Year 5 and 6 can be more challenging, so extension may be limited, but support and practice are still available.
