- Team Lead to join our team and play a key role in growing our minerals processing capability. This role will lead the successful delivery of engineering projects by providing technical direction, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, managing project activities, and building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. The position will also be responsible for mentoring and developing engineers, strengthening team capability, and contributing to safe, practical and high-value engineering outcomes. The position would suit an engineer who enjoys combining technical leadership, project delivery and team development, and who is looking to help build a collaborative, high-performing minerals processing team within a multidisciplinary environment. Position Overview
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of minerals processing projects and studies from concept through to execution
- Provide senior process engineering leadership and technical direction across multidisciplinary project teams
- Coordinate inputs across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure quality, consistency and timely delivery
- Support the growth of EMtek’s Adelaide presence by helping establish local capability, client relationships and project delivery capacity in South Australia
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Prepare, review and approve technical documentation, reports and other key project deliverables
- Oversee project scope and contribute to schedule, budget, forecasting and progress to support successful project outcomes
- Identify project risks, technical issues and delivery priorities, and lead the development of mitigation strategies
- Support proposals, study development and business growth opportunities within the minerals processing sector
- Mentor and develop engineers, contributing to team capability, knowledge sharing and the growth of EMtek’s minerals processing team
- Ensure work is delivered in accordance with relevant standards, client requirements and internal quality systems
- Drive practical, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions and contribute to continuous improvement across projects and the broader team About You
- Degree-qualified in Chemical, Process or Metallurgical Engineering, with approximately 15 years’ experience in process engineering, including substantial exposure to minerals processing projects
- Experience across commodities such as gold, copper, lithium and other base and precious metals projects will be highly regarded
- Practical knowledge of key minerals processing unit operations within beneficiation and hydrometallurgical circuits
- Demonstrated experience leading or playing a senior technical role in multidisciplinary studies and project delivery from concept through to execution
- Strong technical capability in core process design, including slurry and process hydraulic calculations, mass balances, equipment sizing and selection, and relevant minerals processing technologies
- Exposure to assessing, selecting and implementing fit-for-purpose process engineering or modelling tools and systems
- Ability and willingness to remain hands-on while also providing leadership, guidance and mentoring to others
- Proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Commercially aware, with sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities, project risks and delivery outcomes across multiple work fronts
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team development, knowledge sharing and capability growth within a collaborative setting
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information and build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
