Due to continued growth and increasing demand for broadacre research programs across South Australia, we are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Research Officer to join our Broadacre team based at Newton. About the role As a Research Officer, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of applied broadacre research programs across South Australia. The role combines agronomic knowledge with hands-on field work, supporting the planning, establishment, monitoring and reporting of field research trials. You’ll be involved in trial setup, in-season assessments, machinery and spray operations, data collection and analysis and report writing, working closely with growers, clients and internal teams to ensure trials are delivered accurately, safely and consistently. About you You’re practical, detail-focused and enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on, field-based environment. You take pride in doing things properly, follow procedures carefully, and understand the importance of data integrity and working to protocol. You will hold a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (or equivalent) and have a minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant applied research or field-based role. You’re a reliable team player with solid communication skills, comfortable working independently when required, and keen to continue developing your agronomic and practical field skills. A valid driver’s licence is essential, along with the flexibility to work extended hours and travel during peak periods.
