WSP Adelaide has a significant amount of Defence projects driving the need for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects; Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets; Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients; Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally; Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team; Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers; Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting. Experience & Skills Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering); RPEQ qualified or close to completion; Minimum 8-12 years industry experience in Australia on medium/large commercial building structure projects is essential; Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential – only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible); Exposure across a range of local building sectors, e.g., transport, health, retail, defence; Familiar with ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran; Solid consultancy experience in a client facing role with ability to lead projects; Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery; Experience coaching & mentoring junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
