Senior Production Team Leader (Adelaide)

Under new leadership and with an emphasis on increasing production capability, an exciting opportunity now exists for a Senior Production Team Leader within our fast‑paced organisation to assist in the production of a variety of cheese types, manage the aging process, ensure quality control and maintain sanitation standards. Responsibilities
- Daily production of cheese, including set‑up, pasteurization and scheduling.
- Daily cleaning and sanitation of the cheese production room and equipment as required by the food secure plan.
- Comply with all food safe requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor the production process, test new recipes, and work collaboratively with other team members to produce high‑quality cheese products.
- Position involves a 9:30 am start and finishing at 6:30 pm – Monday to Friday. Skills & Knowledge
- Reports to the Head Cheesemaker and has capability of leading the afternoon production team.
- Leadership of a production team of 5 people.
- Cheese experience an advantage, particularly Italian Artisan Cheesemaking, Cheese‑Stretching, Mozzarella, Ricotta, Mascarpone and the use of a Liquid‑Filler Machine.
- Extensive experience and problem‑solving skills, mechanical knowledge on production equipment.
- Hygiene monitoring and team leadership experience in the area of quality control.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP systems and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Highly effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Physically fit to perform the role, able to lift 20 kg consistently and safely.
- Willing to undertake a pre‑employment medical, including instant drug and alcohol testing.
