Work that matters We are seeking to appoint an outstanding experimental physicist to a continuing position of Lecturer Level B. The successful candidate will work alongside the other members of the physics discipline at Adelaide University. We are looking to add to and/or augment areas of existing strengths focusing on gravitational wave instrumentation and next-generation detectors like Cosmic Explorer. Drive innovation in next-generation gravitational wave detectors, including Cosmic Explorer, contributing to breakthroughs that expand our understanding of the universe. Curious to learn more? The team Reporting to the Dean of School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences or their delegate, you will join a collaborative experimental physics group contributing to internationally recognised research programs and major global collaborations. - A PhD in experimental physics, or equivalent higher degree, in an area that aligns with or augments existing and emerging strengths in experimental physics
- A commitment to excellence in relevant areas of experimental physics, in particular to the development of gravitational wave instrumentation and future detectors such as Cosmic Explorer.
- Demonstrated publication track record in relevant areas of experimental physics in leading academic journals.
- A strong interest in and commitment to the delivery of quality undergraduate education.
- Experience in and/or enthusiasm for the supervision of graduate students.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research in addition to working effectively as a member of a research team in a complex setting.
- The ability to lead future Australian efforts in the Cosmic Explorer Collaboration.
