**Role overview**: The Administration Support Officer is part of the welcoming face of our school, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to parents, staff, students, and visitors. This role is central to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere within the school community. Key responsibilities include managing front desk inquiries, handling incoming calls, performing various administrative tasks, and providing support to the Student Administrator and Finance Officers.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Be the primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors
- Managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk
- Assist the Finance Staff with tasks including parent enquiries, payments on fees, paying creditor invoices, reconciliations, banking and filing ensuring accurate recording
- Assist the Student Administrator in managing the enrolment process and organisation of school tours
- Handle incoming calls, take messages, and direct them efficiently to relevant staff, students, and the school community
- Enter and maintain student attendance records using management software and follow up on absences
- Regularly update student data and records within the school system
- Stay updated on School events and communicate relevant information to parents, staff, and the broader community
- Provide basic medical assessments and first aid within the scope of qualifications, document incidents of sickness or accident and maintain first aid supplies and student medications
**What you will bring**:
- Experience in an office environment and finance background
- Experience providing administrative services in a school environment is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, school management system (TASS), database management, and the management of sensitive information
- An awareness of School policies, particularly those related to child safety, privacy, and health regulations
- Be knowledgeable about first aid procedures and the specific medical needs of students
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to multitask and use initiative to manage front desk operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current Working with Children clearance
- Current Mandatory Notification Training Certificate (Masterclass and Online Updates).
- Current First Aid Training Certificate
- Personal commitment to the School's Vision, Mission, and Values, with integrity in all actions
- Passion for working with and supporting children in their primary education journey
