- $80,000 The successful candidates will be part of a tight knit team and will have responsibility for assisting the Restaurant Manager and Chefs with the planning and controlling of kitchen operations. Job Summary: As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to our a la carte and catering menu. You will work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient food production while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.• Assist in food preparation, including for in house functions, ensuring timely and high-quality service.• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food storage areas.• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always followed.• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or kitchen supervisor.• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.• Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste. Skills & Qualifications:
• Formal qualifications as a Cook and a minimum of 12 months experience as a Cook.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.• Solid attention to detail and presentation.• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.• Good communication and teamwork skills.• Ability to work unsupervised The successful candidate must be able to cook tandoori and curry. Salary range $$75,000
