- Working 7 days a week on a rotating roster. About the role This is a talent pool opportunity open for 12 months. Successful applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made as vacancies arise during this period. As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for clients, patients and health professionals, providing a professional and welcoming service. Your role will involve delivering a friendly, efficient and effective telephone result enquiry service, as well as managing incoming calls to ensure enquiries are handled promptly and accurately. You will also play an important part in supporting operational needs by receiving and routing requests for courier pickups and deliveries. In this position, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the service by assisting with general enquiries, ensuring all interactions are delivered with warmth, respect and professionalism. Your commitment to excellent customer service will help create a positive experience for every caller, while supporting the broader team to achieve efficient and high-quality outcomes. About You You will be a friendly and professional individual with a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service. With strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a busy environment, you will ensure that every interaction is handled with courtesy, efficiency and care.
- Skills and Attributes – Excellent telephone manner, strong verbal communication, ability to manage workloads and priorities, solve problems, and contribute positively to a team setting.
- Experience – Proven background in delivering quality customer service in high-volume settings, with experience using computer systems, recording data accurately, and applying Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge – Understanding of customer service best practice, issues and expectations, along with a commitment to confidentiality and privacy.
- Commitment – Dedicated to service excellence, able to work under limited supervision, and proactive in responding to client needs with professionalism and initiative.
