Ambleside Landscapes is an award‑winning, family‑run landscaping company based in the Adelaide Hills, with over 20 years’ experience delivering high‑quality landscape design, construction and maintenance projects across the Adelaide Hills and metropolitan Adelaide. We are seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman / Team Leader to join our construction team to lead & deliver landscape projects to a consistently high standard. THE ROLE This is a hands-on role, ideally suited to an experienced Landscaper ready to step-up or an established Foreman seeking a long-term opportunity with a supportive, close-knit team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Supervisors to lead an in office crew to deliver mostly residential and some commercial landscape construction projects. They will have a keen eye for details, and the ability to execute a wide range of landscaping tasks; they will be organised, with strong leadership & communication skills and ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively with team members & clients. Key Tasks/Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 1-2 landscapers on site
- Work closely with Project Supervisors to plan and coordinate daily tasks, labour, plant & materials for allocated projects/work sites.
- Complete a diverse range of landscaping works, including:
- Earthworks & base preparation
- Retaining wall construction, fencing & brick/blockwork
- Paving, stonework and concreting
- Lawn & garden bed preparation, turf installation & planting
- Irrigation installation
- Have a keen eye for detail and applicable Australian standards to produce a high-quality finish in all areas of Landscape construction.
- Maintain site safety, including ensuring all OHS policies and procedures are executed onsite.
- Provide daily site updates via job software (Tradify) documenting works completed
- Provide mentoring and training to other team members. Essential Skills & Experience
- Certificate lll Landscape Construction, Horticulture or equivalent construction Experience or qualification
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Landscape Construction
- White Card
- Unrestricted Driver’s License (C)
- Experience leading or supervising small crews
- Strong communication & organisational skills and a problem solving attitude
- High attention to detail & pride in workmanship
- Commitment to workplace health & safety
- a "Team" mindset, strong work ethic and initiative Desirable skills & qualifications
- MR Truck License
- Excavator & Skid-steer tickets, or experience operating & willing to obtain tickets
- First Aid & CPR certification
