- Strong involvement with the local community The Role We are seeking a Quality & Safety Officer, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the effective implementation and continual improvement of Airworthiness and Maintenance Control Safety and Quality objectives aligned with ISO 9001, including delivery of internal and external audit programs. The position will also support the Safety and Quality function in the Adelaide business. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as operational leaders, aviation authorities and safety bureaus, assisting with various projects and tasks that support the overall functioning of the Safety and Quality Management Systems.

Your Day / Your Week
- Actively monitors and assists in development of the programs compliance assurance management systems aimed at achieving a ‘World Class, Best Practice, Right Practice’ standard and the maintenance of Operational Integrity across the programs ISO 9001/ Part 145/ NAA Aviation Safety Management activities.
- Providing advice on the compliance program as it pertains to the provision of aviation maintenance services for the PT6 and TPE Programs.
- Undertake audits within an established Quality Management framework, including internal and supplier audits.
- Conduct external audits of sub-contractors to assess their suitability to perform contracted tasks for TAE Aerospace.
- Contribute to the management of the risk register, incident reports, change management activities and findings/actions in the audit Key Accountabilities management software. Assist in administering the Workplace Health, Safety and Setting (HSE) Program in operational areas, including but not limited to incident reporting and investigation, documenting risk assessment activities, conducting and recording regular workplace HSE inspections, delivering HSE updates and collaborating with internal Safety Culture Advocates. About You You have prior experience in an operational aviation environment or similar and highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders

What You Will Bring
- Experienced Maintenance Technician on Engines or recent engineering graduate
- Working knowledge or willing to learn Aviation regulations including but not limited to CASA, EASA and FAA Part145.
- Demonstrated high levels of communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with proven ability to use initiative and a results driven approach. Skills | Qualifications | Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate, organise, and administer teams of multi-skilled personnel.
- Experience using various enterprise digital solutions e.g. IFS, Microsoft, etc.
- Experience in an aerospace propulsion or component / MRO operations or similar environment.
- Willing to learn new skills and desire to working quality and safety (EHS and Aviation Safety) compliance.
- Exceptional organisational, planning and change management skills.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and/or Aviation Security Identification Card If this is you, then please submit your application today!
