Work type: Full time Location: Adelaide Metro Southern Categories: Allied and Scientific Health, Public Health Overview Join Flinders Medical Centre as a Social Worker and help deliver high‑quality care within a agile, multidisciplinary team. The Social Worker works with a high level of professional autonomy in an interdisciplinary setting, delivering quality care to patients on acute wards. They provide assessment, intervention, consultation, and discharge planning, while liaising with community services and coordinating appropriate supports. The role also contributes to service improvement, education, and research to strengthen social work practice across the team. Qualifications
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary team using negotiation skills and collaboration to ensure safe outcomes for patients and families.
- Use social work skills to undertake psycho‑social assessments and intervene with patients and their families to effect change.
- Advocacy on behalf of patients and their families.
- Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise work appropriately.
