Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sheetmetal trades team member to join our operations team to manufacture and assemble products for trade and retail customers. This is a permanent, full‑time prospect working an 8‑hour day shift (6am – 2:06pm) or afternoon shift (2:54pm – 11:00pm). Location: Gepps Cross, South Australia. Remuneration: $73,150 to $80,000 (negotiable based on relevant qualifications and experience). Responsibilities
- Manufacturing goods to our customers' requirements
- Fabricating sheetmetal products to specifications and drawings
- Operating metal folding, slitting, roll‑form and pressing machines and general sheet metal equipment
- Cut, measure and assemble pre‑painted and coated steel to specifications
- Interpreting product drawings
- Perform geometric pattern development
- Demonstrate attention to detail and be quality‑assurance focused
- Strict adherence to critical safety rules and contribute to a safe working environment Qualifications
- Essential – an AQF Certificate III in Engineering – Sheet Metal
- Essential – experience using sheet‑metal manufacturing equipment, particularly roll‑form machines and metal bending machinery (folders, press & breaks)
- Essential – strong mechanical aptitude
- Essential – at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Desirable – MIG, TIG and stick welding experience
- Desirable – gantry crane certification
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
