Integration Architect & Delivery Lead (Adelaide)

Our integration and platform work underpins major transformation, separation, and modernisation programs across local government, healthcare, energy and federal sectors. We are looking for a senior Integration Architect to join our growing Adelaide team. This is a client-facing role spanning both advisory and hands‑on delivery. You will shape target state integration architectures, advise on Azure Integration Services, and lead the delivery of integration solutions on MuleSoft and Azure. You will produce the artefacts that guide our clients' build and run decisions, and you will lead the teams that bring those decisions to life. What you will do
- Lead integration architecture advisory and solution delivery engagements across the full lifecycle, from discovery and design through to build, deployment and transition to support
- Review client-defined target state architectures, identify gaps, and produce recommendations on integration patterns, standards, governance, and tooling
- Design and oversee delivery of integration solutions, with a primary focus on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Azure Integration Services
- Advise on Azure landing zone and foundational readiness for integration workloads, including environment strategy, DevOps automation, and cost ownership models
- Produce client‑ready written deliverables including architecture papers, recommendation decks, integration standards, delivery roadmaps, and detailed integration specifications
- Provide technical leadership to integration engineers and developers across NRI delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops with client business and technology stakeholders
- Contribute to NRI's integration practice through reusable assets, capability uplift, and pre‑sales support What We're Looking For
- 7 to 8+ years in integration architecture and delivery roles, including hands‑on solution delivery experience as well as architecture and advisory
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API‑led connectivity, runtime operations and production support models
- At least 3 years designing and delivering enterprise solutions on Azure Integration Services (AIS), specifically Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management and Azure Data Factory
- Demonstrated expertise in API design and full API lifecycle management, including policy authoring, security, versioning, and developer portal configuration on APIM, MuleSoft, or both
- Strong event‑driven architecture experience, including Service Bus topology design, queue and topic patterns, and dead‑letter handling
- Hands‑on Azure Data Factory experience for batch and pipeline‑based integration
- Deep working knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and the ability to apply them in regulated environments
- Demonstrated experience producing target state integration architectures, standards, and governance frameworks suitable for client advisory engagements
- Strong integration security patterns including identity, network controls, secrets management (Key Vault), and audit logging
- Experience producing detailed integration specifications suitable for handover to delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a track record of producing client‑ready written deliverables Preferred
- Experience leading mixed advisory and delivery engagements, with the ability to move between architecture, hands‑on technical leadership, and stakeholder advisory as the engagement requires
- Experience integrating with geospatial platforms (ESRI, ArcGIS)
- Local government, public sector, or other regulated industry experience
- Experience defining Azure landing zones and foundational platform readiness for integration workloads
