- $158,523.00 + 12% Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Perks
- Full Time, Temporary (fixed-term) contract up until 3 February 2030 As per the SMOEA 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12‑month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. About the role The Advanced Trainee will coordinate and facilitate the daily multi‑discipline morning handover and work collaboratively with the team to plan and prioritise telehealth and face‑to‑face patient reviews, and support referrals, admissions, discharges, and follow‑up arrangements. The role also includes facilitating consumer participation in care planning, assisting with the admission of new referrals in consultation with senior staff, and assessing and managing patient deterioration in the home or clinical setting with appropriate escalation to consultant staff. Key duties of the role
- Organise and facilitate the multi‑discipline morning handover.
- Coordinate with nursing Team Leader and the Consultant/s to plan the schedule of patient reviews (telehealth and face to face) for the day.
- Facilitate the admission of new referrals to the service.
- Assess and manage deterioration of patients in the home or in the clinical space with appropriate escalation.
- Help with telehealth and in‑person reviews, referral, discharge and follow up arrangements where required. Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent
- Registrable with general medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Completion of required 3 years basic paediatric training and RACP exams to progress to Advanced Training.
- Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
