The Role We are looking for a person with a great attitude, who values working in a team and is passionate about solution‑oriented outcomes. We are currently seeking an Associate/ Senior Associate with 2+ years PAE to join our growing national team. We are offering a challenging and rewarding role, which will give you a unique opportunity to grow and develop your legal and advocacy skills across a diverse client base. Our ideal candidate will be commercially minded, passionate, and solutions focused. We are a dynamic and cohesive team, with a generous and collaborative culture. Based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, you will assist the senior members of the national team in varied tasks including:
- Having the day to day conduct of contentious, defended and sensitive matters, with support from senior lawyers
- Providing support to the broader team in response to queries and advice
- Assisting with the resolution of disputes
- Actively contributing to the team's ongoing development, training and skills
- Assisting in developing and enhancing existing training materials on relevant topics and processes
- Working with senior lawyers and managers to facilitate high‑quality services, consistent with internal policies and processes
- Communicating with key institutional clients and maintaining strong client relationships
- Attending Court, mediations, settlement conferences and briefing counsel
- Drafting and reviewing documents, including general correspondence, court pleadings and deeds Qualifications
- 2+ years PAE
- A strong service focus
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape
- Self‑disciplined and accountable with a great work ethic
- Enjoy managing a variety of work and demonstrating the desire to learn and grow
- Strong commercial understanding and solutions focus
- Analytical ability
- Able to work collaboratively and autonomously, where required
- An ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and handle pressure
- A high level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
