Role Overview This is a permanent full‑time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia. You will ensure the optimal physical condition and management of defence assets across multiple bases, performing regular monitoring, thorough desktop reviews, and raising Estate Works Proposal (EWP) recommendations. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed desktop reviews of estate assets.
- Collaborate with the Estate Appraisal & Engineering Manager on project strategies and implementation.
- Manage all activities and concerns related to asbestos, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Provide technical advice and support to other team members while participating in regular training and professional development.
- Raise comprehensive Estate Works Proposal (EWP) recommendations.
- Monitor the physical condition of a diverse range of assets. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registered professional engineer certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in civil engineering, preferably within a defence or government setting.
- Experience with asset condition monitoring and management.
- Experience in conducting desktop reviews and raising EWPs.
- Familiarity with State and Federal regulations pertaining to estate management and asbestos control.
- Proven track record of managing asbestos‑related activities and issues.
