Location: This role could be based out of any of our PwC offices in Australia. At PwC Australia, clients trust us to help them navigate high‑stakes transactions. As a Deals Advisor you will deliver tailored financial insights and rigorous analysis that guide clients through M&A;, capital financing and corporate strategy engagements, creating, realizing and protecting value across the entire deal lifecycle. What you'll do
- Understand each client’s unique challenges to deliver tailored, actionable insights.
- Produce high‑quality financial reports and data‑driven analysis that enable smarter business decisions.
- Support clients in making value‑driven decisions with commercial insights, technical expertise and rigorous, well‑reasoned analysis.
- Conduct financial investigations and prepare comprehensive reports advising on business purchases, sales, mergers and capital financing.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data.
- Embrace and integrate emerging technologies and innovative tools to enhance client engagements and develop digital expertise.
- Strengthen your brand within Deals by leveraging PwC’s service offerings and contributing to sector research and thought leadership.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative team culture. What we're looking for
- Proven experience and solid financial technical skills from consulting, advisory or corporate environments within a Deals or transaction setting.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as CA/CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in Finance or Applied Finance are highly regarded.
- Commercial mindset with expertise in data manipulation, integrated financial modelling, business and asset valuation, financial due diligence (FDD), cost and risk management, cash‑flow analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to handle multiple varied projects simultaneously while delivering quality outcomes.
- Good understanding of the Australian market, including corporate finance principles, capital markets, industry analysis, business valuations, M&A;, IPOs and risk management practices.
- Experience preparing detailed, insightful reports that drive informed decisions.
- Excellent collaboration skills, strong relationships, solid verbal communication, business writing and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Professional qualifications in accounting, law, business, commerce or finance that demonstrate strong foundational expertise. What you could gain
