Principal Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land
We are looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Adelaide office.
About the Role
In this role you will play a key part in delivering contaminated land projects – providing project guidance, supporting clients, and mentoring junior consultants. The position can be tailored to your strengths, whether you are a generalist or bring specialist expertise in remediation, hydrogeology, risk assessment, or auditing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and direct complex contaminated land projects
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Provide technical leadership, input, and review reports
Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level staff
Support national project delivery and collaboration
Drive business development and proposal development
Qualifications
A tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related qualification
15+ years’ experience in contaminated land or a related field
Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and key stakeholders to ensure thorough environmental advice and successful project delivery
Experience in a similar senior position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Robust team player
Experience in training and mentoring staff
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
