Chef Adelaide Royal Coach Kent Town, Adelaide SA Chefs/Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism) We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Qualified Chef to join our team at the Adelaide Royal Coach. Our 4-star, 49 room hotel is situated on the fringe of the East Park Lands on Dequetteville Terrace. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of professional chef experience in a commercial kitchen environment. Our Chefs provide a consistent and high-quality standard of food to our guests Seven days per week. We also have two function spaces, the Adelaide Room and the Board room. During the days, often filled with corporate meetings providing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and evenings with set course or cocktail dinner functions. This is a great chance to showcase your ability and talent within your chosen field and to further enhance your career as a true culinary professional. The key responsibilities will include:
- Hands on approach to food service within the kitchen whilst maintaining high levels of service on a daily basis;
- Strong focus on quality and stock control;
- Continuation of set procedures to create consistent practices within the kitchen;
- Maintaining strong team morale;
- The ability to adapt to different kitchen requirements and work alongside a small team;
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well prepared service area;
- Able to work autonomously or within a small team; and
- Be self motivated.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Current Australia trade qualification Certificate 3
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management qualification is essential for this position.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate;
- A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work;
- Ability to work autonomously
- A strong work ethic and a passion for preparing high quality food;
- The ability to maintain high workloads, and meet deadlines within specific time frames;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A friendly customer service demeanor;
- Prior experience desired in staging outstanding food services in a restaurant or hotel setting;
- Initiative, commitment and passion for your job;
- The ability to work under pressure;
- Attainment of the necessary Food Handler's certificate; and
- A strong appreciation and compliance of workplace safety.

This role varies over a 7-day roaster including weekdays & weekends with shifts ranging from breakfast, lunch functions and dinner.
