About Us

Our client is an established and reputable construction company is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their project team. This role plays a key part in the successful delivery of major building projects by managing procurement, subcontractor relationships, and head contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with robust commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering quality outcomes in the construction sector.

About the role

Preparing subcontractor packages, scopes, tenders and procurement schedules across multiple trades.

Vetting and reviewing contracts to ensure compliance and protect project and company interests.

Supporting the Project Manager in administering the head contract in line with time, cost, and scope entitlements.

Managing subcontractor claims, variations, EOTs, and progress payments.

Preparing and submitting client progress claims.

Monitoring site progress and ensuring subcontractors meet contractual and documentation requirements.

Maintaining accurate documentation, contract records, risk assessments, and project correspondence.

Finalising project close‐out requirements including variations, manuals, defects, and deeds of release.

Skills and Experience

3 years or above experience as a Contracts Administrator on major commercial building projects.

Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.

A solid understanding of contract law principles and construction regulations.

Solid procurement, analytical, negotiation and problem‐solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‐paced setting.

Proficiency with construction software such as CHEOPS, Aconex and Microsoft Office365.

A cooperative working style and excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage contractors, consultants and internal teams.
