About The Role The graduate engineer will support and coordinate the development and validation of OEM-recognised repair methods and refurbishment methods for Liebherr hydraulic mechanical and electrical components. The role includes identifying repair opportunities, researching industry innovations, drafting test schemes and specifications for the part repair lifecycle, carrying out validation testing, engineering trials and field performance trials, creating individual reports for each repair validation and reporting monthly on repair development progress and field performance updates. Additional Responsibilities Develop repair, refurbish and reconditioning methods according to the Reman Repair Management System. Draft and model component assemblies and parts in SolidWorks. Generate production drawings and repair drawings, and prepare repair documentation such as technical manuals, repair manuals and technical reports. Maintain and control the local technical drawing database for issuing to subcontractors. Assist in quality deviation and failure investigation projects by providing data analysis and/or engineering analysis. Provide expert technical guidance to the Remanufacturing production team on component repairability and reusability. Collaborate with repair and refurbishment providers and subcontractors to develop assembly-ready storage, preparation and transport solutions. Prepare and submit reports and analysis on the technological validity, reliability and economic viability of repair and refurbishment methods to stakeholders. Establish and maintain strong, effective and robust internal and external customer relationships. Ensure personal health and safety performance and that all acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others. Comply with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures. Competencies Essential Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronic or electrical engineering or equivalent engineering experience. Demonstrated verbal communication and report-writing skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience with 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks. Preferred Knowledge and understanding of fabrication, including welding, cladding or other metal repair technologies. Previous work or projects on metallurgical coating or bonding.
