Advanced Trainee – Geriatric Medicine Advanced training positions based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woodville, part of Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Location The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woodville, South Australia. Salary MDP-2 $99,707
- $158,523 p.a. plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits. Employment Terms Full‐time temporary from 1/2/2027 up to 27/1/2030. Clinical Rotations (core & non‐core) Inpatient Geriatric Medicine (Geriatric Evaluation and Management & Acute Geriatrics) Orthogeriatric Medicine Acute Medical Unit Liaison Service Rural Ambulatory Geriatric Evaluation and Management (Port Lincoln and Whyalla) Psychogeriatric Medicine Outpatient clinics (falls and cognitive clinics) Community geriatric medicine The geriatric medicine service also provides services to the Transition Care Programme, delivering post‐acute restorative care at residential aged‐care locations. Responsibilities You are a dedicated and compassionate medical professional expected to provide patient‐centred care, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and commit to quality outcomes across a dynamic healthcare setting. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor of Medicine (or equivalent), registrable with AHPRA, with appropriate post‐graduate experience. Competency in routine ward‐based procedures. Up‐to‐date understanding of contemporary medical practices, treatments, and investigations. Knowledge of occupational health and equal prospect principles. Communication & Teamwork Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate empathetically with patients and families. Adaptability & Problem‐Solving Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure. Adapt positively to change and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
