About the role: Our established and growing team is looking for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager with 3 years of relevant experience to oversee and coordinate the company's supply chain, inventory, warehousing, and distribution operations. The position will offer a competitive base salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus superannuation The successful candidates should: Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and monitor supply chain, purchasing, warehousing and distribution strategies to support business operations and customer requirements.
• Plan and coordinate inventory control activities to maintain optimum stock levels while minimising storage and operational costs.
• Oversee procurement, storage and distribution processes to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods and materials.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing arrangements with suppliers, transport providers and service vendors to achieve quality and cost objectives.
• Monitor warehouse operations, inventory systems and logistics procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and operational efficiency.
• Analyse supply chain performance, stock movement and distribution data to identify process improvements and reduce delays or shortages.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation scheduling, dispatch operations and delivery tracking.
• Ensure accurate recording of purchasing, inventory, storage and distribution transactions using inventory management systems and software.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding stock availability, delivery schedules and operational requirements.
• Develop and enforce workplace health and safety procedures within warehouse and distribution operations.
• Prepare operational reports, forecasts and budgets relating to supply chain activities, inventory control and distribution performance.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, transport regulations and relevant industry standards. Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, education, and experience: ·Hold a relevant bachelor's degree. ·Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. ·Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities. ·Experience using inventory management and logistics software systems. ·Robust understanding of workplace health and safety practices within warehouse and distribution environments.
