Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Permanent

Major Healthcare Transformation Program

A major metropolitan hospital network is undergoing a large‑scale technology separation and transformation program. This multi‑year program includes infrastructure separation, ERP replacement, clinical system transitions, cybersecurity uplift, and cloud platform transformation. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to play a key hands‑on role in securing core infrastructure, cloud platforms, and clinical systems that support critical patient services. This is a senior technical role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working across infrastructure, cloud, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate

vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patching

across on‑premise and cloud environments

Work closely with the

Security Operations Centre (SOC)

to monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts

Investigate and escalate

security incidents and potential threats

Provide security advice across

infrastructure, networks, cloud, and clinical systems

Support

threat hunting activities and security detection improvements

Develop and maintain

automated response playbooks and security workflows

Deliver

security awareness and phishing simulation programs

across the organisation

Collaborate with IT, clinical technology teams, vendors, and managed service providers

Key Technical Skills

Security engineering across infrastructure, cloud, and networking

Microsoft security technologies including Sentinel, Defender, and Microsoft 365 security

Azure cloud security

VMware, Windows Server, and Active Directory

Networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, wireless)

Vulnerability management and patch coordination

Incident response and security operations

PowerShell scripting and automation

Required Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
