- Engage directly with business stakeholders to identify, classify, and understand the context of records held within legacy systems.
- Assess the value and obligations associated with data stored in various applications, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Define compliant retention and disposal actions for records based on legislative frameworks such as the Privacy Act and State Records Act (SA).
- Act as the link between subject matter experts, Data Governance teams, Records Management professionals, and Legal/Privacy advisors to facilitate practical decision-making.
- Support the assessment and decommissioning of approximately 100 legacy applications by initially focusing on a pilot group including Oracle CX Cloud (Sales & Service).
- Interpret and apply retention schedules in complex environments to ensure defensible disposal practices are followed.
- Identify compliance risks related to data retention and disposal activities within enterprise systems.
- Provide expert advice on records lifecycle management, including archiving strategies for regulated environments.
- Facilitate workshops or meetings with business areas to clarify record types within systems and support cooperative solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of retention decisions, disposal actions, and compliance risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle. - Proven ability to engage collaboratively with business stakeholders to identify record types, clarify system usage, and understand data context.
- Strong facilitation skills enabling effective elicitation of information from subject matter experts across multiple departments.
- Experience identifying compliance risks associated with data retention or disposal activities within regulated settings.

- Qualification in Records Management, Information Management, Archives, Law, Privacy or related discipline-or equivalent professional experience.
