About the role Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead the Internal Systems team focusing on optimisation of systems, integrations, reporting, workflows and AI-enabled operational processes that support scalable business operations across FYI. You will work closely with leaders across Sales, Client Success, Marketing, Product and Engineering to ensure our systems environment remains connected, efficient, secure and aligned to the evolving needs of our fast-growing SaaS business. Key responsibilities
- Shape and evolve the internal systems environment that keeps FYI connected, efficient and scaling.
- Turn business needs into practical system improvements using automation and AI-enabled workflows.
- Lead and develop the Internal Systems team, building a high-performing culture focused on ownership, accountability, improvement and impact.
- Create reporting, dashboards and operational insights that support visibility and confident decision-making across the business.
- Strengthen governance across systems, workflows, permissions and processes so our operating model remains secure, consistent and scalable.
- Support operational scalability through structured systems management, process optimisation and connected operational workflows.
- Maintain oversight of integrations and automation frameworks across platforms, including Zapier and other connected systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency, visibility and scalability across FYI.

About you You’re a structured and commercially minded operational leader who enjoys solving complex business problems through systems, automation and scalable processes. You bring a strong ownership mindset and are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment, while creating clarity, structure and operational discipline as priorities evolve. You’ll also need:
- Experience leading internal systems, business systems, automation or operational technology functions in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Ability to turn business challenges into smarter workflows using automation and AI-enabled processes to improve how teams operate.
- Hands-on experience with automation and integration platforms, including Zapier, with a solid understanding of connected operational systems and scalable workflows.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading high-performing teams in rapid-moving, scale-up environments where adaptability, ownership and continuous improvement matter.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery and execution.
- Based in Sydney or Adelaide with valid working rights in Australia. Why work with FYI
