- Play a key role in financial accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement About The Role This position supports Babcock's joint venture H&B; Defence Pty Ltd, ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant financial and procurement operations across the business. You will manage the full lifecycle of transactional finance and purchasing activity, from supplier onboarding and contract preparation to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily banking. The role focuses on internal controls, timely processing, and maintaining high-quality supplier and customer data. You will support procurement strategy by analysing spend, identifying aggregation opportunities, and creating dashboards that help leaders make informed decisions. You will also act as the subject matter expert for the procure-to-pay process, directly supporting budget accuracy, cashflow visibility, and overall financial effectiveness. The role includes month-end close, continuous improvement initiatives, and meticulous record-keeping for audit readiness.
