The Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer will provide and lead consultancy services, engineering services, technical input and direction in design across the ANZ region, working alongside Principal Engineers to deliver project design, management and delivery. Key responsibilities
- Lead and interface with GID delivery centres to improve delivery capability and meet targets.
- Deliver technically excellent mechanical engineering designs and consultancy services, and independently carry out design, review and assurance on projects.
- Drive business development, identify opportunities, support work winning and the win of new initiatives.
- Prepare bids, submittals and support section leaders and project managers in delivering financially successful projects.
- Develop and sustain strong key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to selected Jacobs key clients across the public and private sector.
- Represent Jacobs at key thought‑leadership events to develop capabilities and reputation in South East Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.
- Collaborate closely with the client‑management team to identify emerging opportunities.
- Manage complex and multidisciplinary projects in both PM and DPE roles, delivering on cost, time and client satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.
- Mentor, facilitate technical development of junior resources and promote knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Support growth through emerging technologies, including digital solutions.
- Promote a safety culture within the organisation and with clients.
- Lead the team at meetings, ensuring tasks are understood and aligned with capacity planning.
- Balance the scope of deliverables with time allocation.
