Quality Engineer – Desktop Applications (Adelaide)

Join Qantas in our brand‑new Product Innovation Centre located in Adelaide to help us ensure consumer needs are met by embedding robust testing strategies and automation practices that uphold software reliability, performance, and security. Deliver seamless, high‑quality digital experiences that build customer trust and satisfaction. As a Quality Engineer – Desktop Applications, you’ll work closely with product owners, developers and business stakeholders to design, automate and execute tests that ensure our systems perform as expected. With the freedom to identify improvements and implement best‑practice solutions, you’ll continuously enhance our testing frameworks, tools and overall quality approach. You’ll have:
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering or QA, with a focus on desktop applications
- Hands‑on experience testing systems that integrate with or are built on Amadeus
- Strong capability in business logic testing, ensuring rules, calculations and workflows behave as intended
- Experience designing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright
- Ability to validate end‑to‑end user journeys, data flows and system integrations
- Experience working in agile delivery environments and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams
- Confidence in analysing complex requirements and translating them into effective test scenarios
- Experience embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and defects early
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence contributing to go/no‑go release decisions
