MIDDLE SCHOOL VISUAL ARTS TEACHER
- Contract Position
- 0.4 Full Time Equivalent (FTE)

- Closing Date: 03 October 2025 We’re looking for a passionate, innovative and team-oriented Middle School Visual Arts Teacher who can bring creativity and enthusiasm to teaching Years 6–9 Visual Arts. This is a unique opportunity to inspire students in the visual arts, equipping them with skills to create, respond, and think critically, while contributing to their personal growth and wellbeing in a supportive Christian environment. As a Middle School Visual Arts Teacher, you will:
- Teach Visual Arts in alignment with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA), supporting students in developing and applying knowledge, skills, and processes.
- Design engaging learning experiences that allow students to explore a range of art forms, materials, techniques, and technologies, while encouraging self-expression and innovation.
- Empower students to critically and creatively engage with artworks, artists, and cultural contexts, fostering appreciation for both contemporary and historical perspectives.
- Contribute to the holistic development of students, building confidence, collaboration, and resilience through the arts.
- Create a classroom environment that reflects our School values of excellence, inclusivity and being Christ-centred, ensuring students feel safe, valued, and able to thrive. Essential qualities:
- Demonstrated passion and expertise in teaching Visual Arts within the Australian Curriculum.
- Ability to engage and extend Middle School learners (Years 6–9) in both practical and theoretical components of Visual Arts.
- Capacity to integrate Christian faith into teaching and relationships with students.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families to support learning and wellbeing.
- A sincere commitment to Jesus Christ, the philosophy of Christian Education, and regular church attendance.
