Senior Cyber Security Consultant - Compliance (Adelaide)

We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Compliance to lead strategic compliance engagements across frameworks including CMMC, DISP, Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and NIST. This role also includes vCISO advisory responsibilities, supporting clients with cyber strategy, governance, risk management and executive‑level security guidance. What you'll be doing
- Lead compliance and cyber maturity uplift engagements across a diverse client base
- Deliver gap assessments, audits, remediation roadmaps and strategic advisory services
- Act as a trusted vCISO advisor for clients across governance, risk and security strategy
- Support organisations preparing for frameworks including:
- CMMC 2.0
- DISP
- ISO 27001
- NIST SP 800‑171
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings with technical and non‑technical audiences
- Translate complex compliance requirements into practical business outcomes
- Contribute to proposal development, client strategy and solution design
- Work closely with our technical delivery and managed services teams
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of the compliance practice
- Work on meaningful cyber and compliance projects across defence, critical infrastructure and regulated industries

- 5+ years experience in cyber security, risk or compliance consulting
- Solid understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks
- Experience delivering strategic cyber advisory or vCISO services highly regarded
- Experience working with defence industry or regulated environments highly regarded
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Experience writing reports, remediation plans and executive‑level documentation Highly regarded certifications (not required)
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
- CISSP

- CRISC
- Security+
