Dispute Resolution Specialist (Adelaide)

Location: Parramatta, Adelaide or Newcastle. Work type: Full time, Permanent. Hybrid role. Overview An exciting prospect has become available for a Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our thriving Customer Relations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Review, the role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to QBE's success in a high performing team responsible for the management of disputes made by customers. Responsibilities
- Manage organisational obligations and compliance in relation to the conduct of disputes under the Motor Accident Injuries Act **** (NSW) and other regulations, guidelines and statutory frameworks.
- Provide exposure to disputes before the Personal Injury Commission.
- Provide recommendations in relation to process and decision-making improvements to enhance alignment with the Objects of the Act.
- Review and deliver sound, timely decisions for disputes.
- Proactively identify systemic causes of disputes and contribute to the development of creative and beneficial solutions.
- Foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both externally and cross-functionally across QBE.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and identify continuous improvement training opportunities for our business. Qualifications
- Experience in allied health, claims or legal background within a personal injury scheme (CTP, workers compensation, etc.), and/or clinical exposure is highly advantageous.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong understanding and interpretation of medical terminology.
- Ability and initiative to make decisions and recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders to improve performance and achieve excellent outcomes.
- Proven success in driving continuous improvement initiatives, complex problem resolution ability and business acumen.
- Previous experience in coaching, mentoring or developing others would be highly regarded.
