Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join GEC on the Santos Cooper Midstream Simplification (CMS) project – one of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure programs currently under delivery. This is a single‑project contract expected to run through to late October 2026. For the right people, further opportunities exist within the Global Group’s growing project portfolio beyond this contract. Description
- Conduct welding inspection and quality assurance activities across pipeline and facility construction scopes
- Review welder qualification records (WPQs) and verify compliance with applicable welding codes (AS/ASME)
- Perform pre‑weld, in‑process and post‑weld inspections and document findings accurately
- Identify and report non‑conformances; support NCR resolution with site and quality teams
- Participate in daily pre‑start meetings, task safety reviews and SWMS sign‑off
- Maintain and contribute to project MDR and quality documentation Skills and Experiences Mandatory Requirements
- Cert 10 – Welding Supervisor
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Working at Heights Desired Requirements (not essential, but highly regarded)
- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Provide First Aid
- Prior O&G; or heavy industrial welding inspection experience Why Join Our Team?
