As our Transmission & Distribution (T&D;) team continues to grow, we’re looking for a mid‑career Primary Engineer who is ready to help shape the next wave of high‑voltage (HV) infrastructure across Australia and the APAC region. - Lead primary design and design review for substations (22kV–500kV) for utilities, renewable energy projects and data centres.
- Produce and review key deliverables including layouts, SLDs, sections and equipment specs.
- Form trusted relationships with clients and act as a technical advisor.
- Drive project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule and quality targets are met.
- Mentor and develop engineers across our Substations team.
- Collaborate closely with Civil, Structural and Secondary teams on integrated solutions.
- Engage with Jacobs’ Global Community of Practice for APAC wide knowledge sharing. Here’s what you’ll need
- Experience in HV Primary Electrical Engineering and a good understanding of HV design standards (particularly Australian Standards).
- Familiarity with utility design standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and support multi‑discipline design coordination.
- Confidence in client engagement and relationship building.Li>

- Exposure to AIS and GIS substations would be advantageous.
