Mechanical Project Engineer (Adelaide)

Job Overview We seek experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Engineers with 3-5 years of relevant project-based experience who wish to develop further in a diverse Project Engineering role, participating in complex and meaningful projects across industry sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Project Lead in development of project scopes, budgets, while ensuring agreement between project stakeholders.
- Developing project schedules in conjunction with stakeholders.
- Assist with the management of project deliverables and outcomes.
- Delegate tasks to drafters or other subcontractors.
- Develop and review datasheets, technical specifications, and standards.
- Manage small to medium projects.
- Review engineering drawings, including Flow Diagrams, P&IDs;, layouts, isometrics, and structural drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with development of client orders, scope amendments, project controls, and reporting.
- Attend Safety‑in‑Design workshops including HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and constructability reviews.
- Support the Project Lead for design, tender, construction, commissioning, and close‑out processes. Essential Attributes
- 3-5 years of relevant project management experience, including project delivery and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Degree qualification in Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to work within cross‑functional teams with robust communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Specific experience in one or more of the following: Project concepts and options development, creation of project management plans, safety in design and risk assessment, scope of work development, quality inspection and quality assurance. Notice
