Business Intelligence Developer As our Business Intelligence Developer, you'll design, develop, and maintain the BI solutions that turn complex data into trusted, well-governed information our business relies on to make decisions. Sitting within the Business Intelligence team and reporting to the BI Manager, you'll sustain a high-performing data warehouse workplace, apply ETL design patterns, and safeguard data quality and consistency across our reporting and analytics platforms. Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines, stored procedures, views and SQL across our data warehouse
- Build reports, dashboards and semantic models in Power BI, Tableau and SSRS that drive better decision-making
- Produce member data extracts to support statements, marketing campaigns, communications, third‑party research and operational initiatives
- Establish and maintain report definitions and the business glossary so information is consistent across the bank
- Lead requirements interviews with technical and business stakeholders and translate outcomes into data mapping and technical specifications
- Manage reporting reliability — minimise downtime, recover quickly when something fails, and keep stakeholders informed
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to cross‑functional project work
- Champion data literacy, data accuracy and a strong risk and compliance culture across the business Qualifications Degree or tertiary qualification in an IT-related field, or demonstrable experience, with advanced SQL development across stored procedures, views and complex scripts on Microsoft SQL Server; significant hands‑on experience across the Microsoft BI stack — SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS; and hands‑on experience developing dashboards and semantic models in Power BI or Tableau, backed by a strong understanding of data modelling and dimensional warehousing principles. Comfortable using scripting (such as PowerShell), able to support scalable data and business solutions while working within structured SDLC environments. Confidence engaging stakeholders and communicating complex insights in a clear, practical way.
