Arboriculture Manager (2IC) (Adelaide)

Mechanical Vegetation Solutions (MVS) is a well‑established South Australian business delivering arboriculture, vegetation management, and land clearing services across government, council, civil, commercial, and private sectors. We are seeking an experienced arborist to step into an Arboriculture Manager (2IC) role, supporting our Arboriculture Manager and helping drive the day‑to‑day coordination and delivery of works across the business. This is a hands‑on leadership role offering the opportunity to build your skills in operations, project coordination, and client management, while working closely with an experienced leadership team. The Role Working as second‑in‑charge to the Arboriculture Manager, you will support the coordination of daily operations, assist in delivering projects, and help ensure crews are set up for success. You will assist with the day‑to‑day arboricultural operations, managing crews, coordinating projects, and working closely with senior management to deliver safe, efficient, and commercially successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Support the Arboriculture Manager in coordinating day‑to‑day operations and workflow Assist in supervising and supporting arborist crews, including climbers, ground staff, and operators Contribute to planning, scheduling, and resource allocation Assist in managing projects from planning through to delivery Support client and stakeholder communication, including councils and contractors Assist with quoting, job costing, and tracking job performance Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to required standards Support crews with safety, leadership, and operational guidance both on‑site and in the yard Maintain accurate job and compliance records using company systems (Simpro, SkyTrust) About You Minimum 5+ years’ experience in arboriculture Experience as a Crew Leader or Senior Arborist Robust technical knowledge of pruning, removals, and tree risk Ability to coordinate crews and manage competing priorities Good communication and problem‑solving skills A strong commitment to safety and quality Certificate III in Arboriculture (or equivalent) Current White Card Australian Driver’s Licence Experience working with councils or large contracts Exposure to vegetation management or civil projects Why Join MVS Competitive salary package Supportive leadership team with a growing business Modern fleet and well‑maintained equipment Career progression as the company continues to expand If you’re ready to take the next step in your arboriculture career and grow into a leadership role, we’d like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3rt9z4
