Lead Pega Developer (Contract) (Adelaide)

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Pega Developer to join our team in Sydney on a contract basis. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade Pega‑based solutions, playing a key role in building an integrated case management platform that drives critical business processes. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will combine deep technical expertise with architectural oversight, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical designs and specifications
- Design and develop applications using Pega PRPC and BPM platform
- Lead solution design, ensuring alignment with Pega architecture and best practices
- Develop reusable enterprise components, rules, and workflows
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions across multiple releases
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Oversee implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Pega applications
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
- Stay current with latest Pega technologies and industry best practices Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Pega development (PRPC) across the full lifecycle (design, build, deploy, test)
- Proven experience in an architectural or leadership role within Pega projects
- Robust understanding of case management and workflow design
- Solid programming fundamentals in Core Java and Object‑Oriented Design
- Strong database experience, including PL/SQL and performance tuning
- Front‑end knowledge: HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Experience with system integrations using SOAP/HTTP connectors, Web Services, and listeners (MQ, JMS, File, Email)
- Strong experience working in Agile environmentsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
