Senior Accountant (Adelaide)

About The Role As Senior Accountant, you will own the full cycle of financial management and reporting, with responsibility spanning:
- Leading month‑end and year‑end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Preparing monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Coordinating external audits and preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements
- Managing statutory lodgements, including ACNC, ACFR, QFR, BAS, FBT, and grant acquittals
- Supporting the billings and claiming process, debt collection reporting, and accounts payable oversight
- Administering finance systems, including general ledger, chart of accounts, and user access
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide clear, timely financial insights
- Providing day‑to‑day guidance and oversight to a small team, supporting their development and ensuring high standards are met
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency across the finance function About You You are a Motivated, Detail‑oriented Finance Professional who brings both technical strength and a collaborative approach to your work. Our client is looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate financial information for non‑finance audiences
- A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
