Senior Cyber Security Engineer/Lead (Adelaide)

e2 Cyber is exclusively partnering with ASC, Australia’s sovereign submarine builder and maintainer, to recruit a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead advanced security capabilities across incident response, DFIR and threat hunting. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-impact cyber challenges within a secure Defence workplace. Location: Osborne, South Australia Clearance: Must be eligible for NV2 Key Responsibilities
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Hands‑on background across SIEM, EDR and incident response
- Experience working within Microsoft environments (Defender, Sentinel, Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of ISM, Essential Eight and secure environments
- Experience with incident response and DFIR investigations
- Drive and mature threat hunting capability across the environment
- Develop and improve detection engineering and response processes
- Identify capability gaps and uplift tooling, automation and workflows
- Act as a technical SME supporting the broader cyber team
- Contribute to security engineering and architecture decisions
- Support continuous improvement across cyber capabilities and processes
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for NV2 clearance About You
- Strong experience as a Senior Security Engineer, DFIR specialist or Threat Hunter
- Hands‑on expertise in incident response, investigations and threat analysis
- Experience building or improving detection and response capabilities
- Exposure to penetration testing or offensive security methodologies
- Strong understanding of secure environments and cyber frameworks
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for NV2 clearance Benefits
